Athena Designs gives the heart as 18 x 18 mm and the chain as 16 inches with two one-inch extensions, so it can be worn tight at the base of the neck or dropped to 18 inches and layered under something longer.

The reason to pick this over a plain gold heart is the enamel. White reads clean and graphic instead of sweet, and it holds its colour against a jumper, a shirt collar or bare skin.
