Blue Ridge Winter sets Christmas red aside and paints the hush of a mountain snowfall instead: deep winter blue, crisp white and evergreen, warmed by the amber glow of cabin windows. One strip is an entire snowy village climbing through towering pines, with a deer pausing at the tree line and lanterns lit along the path. The other is a run of keepsake vignettes: an antlered deer portrait, a blue and a red poinsettia, a stag framed by a frosted wreath, a deer standing in an arched woodland window, and a white poinsettia nested with blue ornaments, holly and a pinecone.
The village strip runs the length of its 11.5 in sheet, one long winter panorama for a hurricane glass, the side of a lantern or a narrow cabinet door, with the cabins lit as if someone just came home. The vignette sheet breaks into a handful of separate pieces, so the wreathed stag can crown a sign while the poinsettias travel to a set of glasses. And because the palette leans blue instead of red, everything you make with it stays right on a mantel from the first snow until spring.
The lanterns and glasses in the gallery are Prima's finished project ideas. The set you receive is the two printed transfer sheets.
