From Faber-Castell, founded in Stein, Germany in 1761 by a cabinet maker named Kaspar Faber, and still run by his family nine generations later.
They are the largest pencil maker in the world — around two billion a year, in more than 120 colors. Two and a half centuries of knowing how pigment ought to behave.

Nine cheerful snacks, one grid, and a child who will not look up for an hour. The Foodie Friends board hands young artists a pizza slice, a strawberry, a cupcake and a doughnut already drawn and numbered, so the hard part is done and the satisfying part is all theirs. The color guide prints separately from the artwork, which means a child can match it exactly or throw it aside and make a purple pineapple.
Five Faber-Castell DuoTip markers cover ten colors, each barrel carrying a thin tip on one end and a broad tip on the other, so outlines and fills come from the same pen. The inks are made from food grade vegetable dyes, washable, rehydratable and non toxic, and the caps are ventilated. A foam display board, mounting tape and hang tab finish the project as something to put on a wall rather than in a drawer.
