Flame is the red in the Metallique range: a clear, saturated scarlet with a metallic sheen running under it. Dry brushed across a carved frame or a mould casting it picks out every raised edge in metallic copper red; laid on solid it gives a small piece the weight of aged lacquer. Either way it stops being craft paint and starts looking like a finish.
Prima builds Metallique as a water based metallic acrylic, rich in colour and permanent after drying, made for decor, art and mixed media. Use it on castings, trim, frames, canvas and small furniture details. The jar holds 1.7 fl oz (50 ml), which on dry brushed work is a great many pieces before you see the bottom of it.
