A little cotton burlap sack with a yellow drawstring, printed with a prospector wheeling a barrow of nuggets under the words Gold Mine. Inside are candy coated bubble gum nuggets shaped like rough gold, which is the entire joke and the reason this has held a spot on candy counters for decades.
Two ounces a bag, enough to pass around a table, and the sack is half the point. Pull the drawstring shut and it goes in a pocket, a lunchbox or a party favor bag. Espeez has made Gold Mine gum since 1994.
