Four packets of freeze dried kefir starter, enough to make batch after batch of tangy, lightly effervescent kefir in your own kitchen. Unlike live kefir grains, a powdered starter has nothing to feed and nothing to keep alive on the counter, so the pouch simply waits in the refrigerator until the day you want to use it.

Each packet cultures whole milk, and the same starter also works with juice, coconut milk or coconut water if you would rather keep it dairy free. Once a batch is going it can be re cultured several times before you open the next packet. Net weight 0.20 oz (5.6 g).
