The trick is in the bristles. They sit at two different heights and mix hard with soft, so the tall ones find the knot and the short ones catch what is left behind, and a tangle that normally takes a fight comes out in a few strokes.
Because every bristle flexes, the brush gives way before your hair does. That is what cuts the breakage: less stress on the strand means less snapping, particularly on wet hair when it is at its most fragile. It works wet or dry, it finishes a blow dry with real volume and shine rather than static, and the same combination of hard and soft tips turns an ordinary brush through into a proper scalp massage. The shape is compact and handleless, which is the reason it lives in a bag rather than a drawer, and the terracotta finish looks like something you would leave out on the counter.
