Montchamp Imperial is a small piece of French salon drama cast in white resin: an ornate frame from Prima's Memory Hardware collection, crisp enough in its moulded detail to pass for antique plasterwork. At 4 by 5.75 inches with a 2.5 by 4 inch opening, it's sized for a cherished photo, a scrap of vintage text, or a tiny mirror.
Use it straight from the box for a clean gallery look, or make it yours: resin takes paint, metallic waxes and artisan powders beautifully, so a few minutes of dry-brushing turns it gilded, aged or moody. Lovely on albums, shadow boxes, tiered trays and gallery walls.
