A tinted balm rather than a lipstick. Mineral pigment sits in a base of organic beeswax, babassu oil, castor oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter and honey, so the colour and the lip care arrive in the same twist up tube. Bee Inspired builds each shade to between 87 and 95 percent organic and colours it with iron oxides and mica instead of synthetic dyes, alongside calendula extract, rosemary extract and vitamin E.
Cranberry is a medium warm red, Posie a blush nude shimmer, and Sunflower a bronze shimmer with metallic highlights. One swipe reads as a wash of colour and two or three build it up, without settling into lines the way a lip stain does. All three are lightly flavoured with organic vanilla, hold 0.15 oz, and are made in the USA. The plant cellulose tube uses about 30 percent less plastic than a standard lip product tube.
