Sunrise on the farm, and everything is already awake. Lift the flaps and look through the holes cut into the pages to find the hens at their grain, the cows being milked behind the big barn doors and the lambs out in the fields, then follow the red tractor as it chugs up and down planting seeds in the soil.

The second half of the book answers where food comes from, at toddler height. Carrots hide under the ground, broccoli stands above it, strawberries change color when they are ready to pick, and peas wait inside enormous green pods. It finishes in the farm shop with cheese, bread and honey, and with knitted hats and lambswool jumpers, so the wool goes somewhere too.
