Laser-etched by PNW Pen, a maker right here in Washington State — each piece is natural slate or wood, so the color, grain and edges vary a little from the next. That's the mark of the real thing, not a flaw.
Northwest scenes and a wink of Bigfoot, made in small runs. Pick your favorite design while it's in stock.

The outline of Washington State cut from solid padauk, with a heart opened clean through the eastern half of the map. Padauk is a dense hardwood whose deep orange red is the wood itself rather than a stain sitting on the surface, and the laser leaves a dark scorched line along every cut edge and around the heart, which is what gives the outline its definition against the orange. PNW Pen seals each one with a clear coat spray.
The tag is a quarter inch thick and sits inside a 1.75 inch square, on a steel split ring, so it reads as a state and not as a blob at arm length. For anyone who moved away, moved here, or has never wanted to leave. Cut and sealed in the Pacific Northwest.
