This is one of those pieces that immediately stops you.
The first thing that stands out is the bright tangerine band running through the upper part of the lamp. When the light is turned on, that natural section of stone glows with an incredibly rich orange color. At the corners, the layers meet and create a beautiful chevron-like pattern that feels almost intentionally designed, even though it was formed entirely by nature.
Below the glowing orange band are dozens of fine layers in charcoal, cream, brown, rust, and soft peach. The pattern continues around all four sides, so every angle has something different to see.
What I love most about this lamp is how much it changes throughout the day. When it is turned off, it looks like a sculptural piece of natural stone with deep, earthy coloring and strong graphic movement. When it is illuminated, the brighter bands come alive and reveal warmth and detail hidden inside the onyx.
Each of our lamps is hand-carved and carefully finished by Vilona family artisans. We choose the stone for its natural pattern, coloring, movement, and ability to glow. No two pieces can ever be exactly alike.
