Eon blends vintage duck egg with a soft, faded French blue: a gentle gray-blue with a whisper of green in it. It reads quiet and collected, like old painted shutters or the linen cupboard in a country house. Use it to cool a sunny bedroom, calm a bathroom, or give a kitchen a relaxed European feel against white trim and warm wood. In a dead-flat matte it looks soft and chalky, and it still washes clean.
Eon is One Hour Ceramic, Wise Owl's 100% acrylic matte wall paint, made with a self-crosslinking resin and 3M ceramic microspheres instead of the crushed mineral that flattens ordinary matte paint. Those hard, round microspheres are why fingerprints, soil and grease wipe off with mild soap and water without marring the finish, and why the wall stands up to scrubbing and burnishing. It self-levels to cut brush drag, primes itself on drywall, cured plaster and masonry, covers 350 to 400 square feet per gallon, and is extremely low in VOCs at 50 g/l. The color comes from the original 25-color palette Wise Owl launched One Hour Ceramic with in 2020 and no longer appears on Wise Owl's current color list, so buy enough to finish the room in Eon.
