Make the number shine. The upper half of each numeral is smooth metallic gold, the lower half sparkles with gold glitter, and a sturdy wooden spike anchors it in the frosting so it stays upright until the last photo is taken.

Pick your number: 1 or 2. Every candle is sold on its own, so pair them for the age you are celebrating: a 1 and a 2 for twelve or twenty-one, two 2s for twenty-two, a single 1 for a first birthday or a first anniversary. Each numeral stands about 3 inches tall, and the all-gold finish looks just as right on a child's party cake as on a milestone dinner or a New Year's dessert. Each one is packed in its own plastic-free paper box that goes straight into home recycling.
