Two strings of party bunting spell the whole message out. The top row hangs triangular pennants in navy, teal, aqua and green, every one patterned and scalloped, each carrying a single letter of HAPPY inside a bright circle. Below it a second garland of rounded flags in pink, green, blue and lilac finishes the word BIRTHDAY, with small orange and white flower buttons pinned between them.

The card opens on a purple line set in tall fairground lettering that reads HAVE THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE!, with a soft striped band running along the bottom edge. It is a wide landscape card rather than the usual upright one, roughly 5 by 7 inches, it suits any age and any sender, and a matching envelope comes with it.
