Ask it anything printed on the card and it points at the answer. The Magic IQ Robot sits on a small white platform, a questions card slots into the holder beside it, and when the robot is set down on the matching answers card it turns on its own and stops facing the correct panel. Nothing is typed in and nothing is plugged in. Working out how it knows is half the game.

Twelve double sided cards come in the box, paired into six question and answer sets, and 4M's own contents photograph shows what they cover: animals, the human body, sea creatures, numbers and simple sums, the solar system and dinosaurs. One questions card and one answers card are left blank, so a child can write a quiz of their own and hand the robot a question 4M never wrote.

A five year old has it figured out in two minutes, and then plays for far longer once they start inventing rounds for everyone else at the table. 4M prints FOR AGES OVER 5 on the carton.
