Luxe Ornamenta hangs a jeweled pendant on furniture: a slim ten inch vertical drop of acanthus scrolls swinging around a central laurel cartouche, finished top and bottom with fleur points. The proportions are deliberately narrow, made for the spots wider appliques cannot go: stiles between drawers, narrow door panels, bed posts, and clock cases.

Cast rigid at 10x2.8 inches and about a quarter inch deep, the piece mounts with wood or construction adhesive and takes chalk paint, glaze, and metallic wax without primer. Run a matched pair down both stiles of a dresser and the piece gains instant vertical architecture; gild one against ebony paint and it becomes the focal point of the room.
