The blade is 3¼ inches, hollow ground from surgical quality T420 high carbon stainless steel and hand sharpened, on a 6¾ inch body. It is the size that suits seeding a pepper, coring a strawberry, deveining shrimp or venting a pie crust, and it balances in the hand rather than hanging off the end of it. The handle is permanently cast brushed aluminum, satin finished, with a built in finger guard, and it cannot work loose because it was cast around the tang.
