The same round Viking shield as Kàlid's plywood Historik model, built instead from EVA foam: 28 centimetres across, 1.5 thick, and 130 grams, which is light enough that a small child can hold it up at arm's length for more than a minute.

The face is quartered red and white behind a grey cross band studded with pale rivet heads, and the boss where the bands meet carries Thor's hammer. One synthetic leather handle is fixed to the back.

The blue-and-yellow Viking shield we carry is the larger plywood Historik model, 33 centimetres across. Kalidinteriors makes them by hand in Vic, outside Barcelona.
