Red Flame is molten. This is a fiery orange red metallic wax that behaves less like paint and more like heat caught on the surface: rub it over a raised casting with a fingertip and every ridge lights up in burnished vermilion while the recesses stay dark, which is the whole trick of a gilding wax.

It is a beeswax based paste from the Art Alchemy Metallique Wax line, supplied in a 0.68 fl oz (20 ml) tube. Apply it with a finger, a sponge or a soft cloth, then buff once it sets for a rich, colour saturated metallic finish that holds up on both light and dark grounds. Permanent and water resistant when cured, it layers beautifully over gold and copper and brings carved trim, hardware and textured paint to life.
