Red, blue, yellow and orange, all at once: this is the spirit ball for the person whose home is never beige. Bright splashes of color float in clear glass around a tangle of fine glass strands, and when sunlight comes through, it lands on the windowsill in every one of those colors.
Each ball is blown by mouth in Eastern Europe, which means the exact mix of colors is never repeated. Expect yours to be a close cousin of the one pictured, not a copy. Its maker dates the custom of hanging a spirit ball by a window or door back more than 600 years, and a small tag in the box shares the legend.
