A whole paintbox in one small heart. Turquoise leads, with flecks of green, pink, orange and violet pressed into the glass like confetti, and a darker rim that makes every color look brighter.
Friendship hearts began as end-of-day gifts, made by glassblowers from the glass left at the furnace and handed to the people closest to them. This one brings the same idea into a modern home: hang it in a kitchen window, on a mirror or from a shelf, and it says someone thought of you. Eastern European artisans blow each one by mouth, so the pattern cannot be repeated.
Approximately 8cm (just over 3 inches) wide, boxed, with a ribbon for hanging and a tag explaining the tradition. It can live indoors or out. The display stand in the room photo is not included.
