The soup that put Rill Foods in the soup business, and still the one that sells the most.

Thorpellini is the original. It is what the Thorp kitchen packaged first when customers would not stop asking for the recipe, and thirty years on it is still the top seller. Cheese filled tortellini sit in a red Italian broth built on a beef flavor base with basil, oregano, parsley, carrot and garlic worked through it. You bring half a pound of Italian sausage and a can of tomato sauce; the bag brings everything else. Half an hour on the stove and ten servings come out of one 8.25 oz package, which is why it turns up so often on weeknights and in the crock pot on a Saturday. Children eat it without argument. Grate parmesan over the top, put garlic bread next to it, and it stops being soup and starts being supper.
