Meet Mortar — the warm greige glaze that reads like old plaster settling into a hundred years of carving. It is the quiet one in the Wise Owl line-up: not grey, not brown, but the soft taupe of weathered stonework. It does its best work on pieces you want to look found rather than finished.
This translucent, water-based glaze brings out the details of your piece. Wiped over a soft mint like Vintage Duck Egg it leaves a dusty, sun-worn haze; over a deep teal like Abyss it lifts every raised edge in pale stone.
