Twelve doors, twelve days, and a bowl of popcorn behind every one. Eight of the doors hold 2 oz bags of kernels: Medium White, Baby White, Medium Yellow, Mushroom, Red, Blue, Rainbow and Purple. The other four hold 1 oz bags of seasoning: Sea Salt and Caramel, Dill Pickle, Cheddar Cheese and Ranch. The whole thing counts down to Christmas one snack at a time.

It works because the varieties genuinely taste different from each other, so the countdown is not twelve identical evenings. Mushroom pops in a round ball that holds a coating, Purple is tender with fewer hulls, Rainbow is the farm blend, and the seasonings turn any of them into something else entirely. The back of the box carries the Nutrition Facts for all twelve so nobody has to guess.

Ingredients. The eight kernel bags have one ingredient each: popcorn. The four seasonings, bag by bag. Sea Salt and Caramel: sugar, brown sugar, nonfat dry milk, salt, natural flavors including cream and butter, and less than 2% silicon dioxide added to prevent caking. Dill Pickle: vinegar powder (maltodextrin, white distilled vinegar, modified food starch), salt, maltodextrin, dillweed, onion powder, citric acid, garlic powder, lactic acid, tartaric acid, natural flavor, less than 2% silicon dioxide. Cheddar Cheese: cheddar cheese (pasteurized cultured milk, enzymes, salt), partially hydrogenated soybean oil, reduced lactose whey, maltodextrin, romano cheese, sodium phosphates, milk, cream, cultures, enzymes, citric acid, lactic acid, natural flavor, whey, salt, dextrose, spice extracts of turmeric and paprika, disodium inosinate and guanylate. Ranch: whey, buttermilk powder, salt, monosodium glutamate, onion, dextrose, citric acid, garlic, parsley, artificial flavor, sodium diacetate, less than 2% silicon dioxide.
