Bred for the jar and it shows. Boston Pickling carries smooth, bright green, blunt ended fruit at five to six inches, which is the size that actually fits a wide mouth quart without being cut down, and the flesh stays firm through brine instead of going soft. It is an heirloom vining plant and a heavy one, so long as you keep picking. Miss a few days and the vine slows down; stay on top of it and it will out produce the jars you have ready. Direct sow once the soil warms. Fifty days to the first harvest, thirty seeds minimum in the packet.
Open pollinated, untreated and GMO free seed, hand packed by Sow True Seed in Asheville, North Carolina.
