What makes it land is how specific the prompts get. A single sticky note asks how blank is so easy for us, and the facing page answers in a big painted heart: it must be because we really like each other. A spread of pale spots turns into our own personal jukebox, six numbered slots and no money required, for the songs that belong to the two of you. Two paper banners hang side by side for what you are good at and what I am good at, over the verdict basically, together we're unstoppable. A range of brown and white mountains leaves the tallest peak blank for something the two of you handled, over the line I know we could get through anything. One spread goes dark: constellations, gold ink, I'm pretty sure the stars brought us together so we could blank, and on the facing page, how lucky are we. Another finds room to say that in all the time we've known each other, we've only grown more and more blank.
