An extra room, and nobody tells you what it is for. Maileg leaves this one deliberately blank: a garage, a guest room, a gym, a shop, a place to put the thing that will not fit anywhere else. Children decide that, and they change their minds about it for years.

It is one open fronted box whose broad faces are painted a smooth cream, with the plywood layers left showing on the cut edges. A square four pane window is cut into one wall, a slim round natural wood post stands at the open front corner, and a spindled balcony rail runs round the open top, warm gray on the side and cream at the back, so a small friend can stand at the edge and look down. Built, it is 38 cm (14.96 in) tall, 29 cm (11.42 in) wide and 29 cm (11.42 in) deep. It arrives flat packed and an adult puts it together.

Read this part before you buy. It is built at Miniature size, the scale of Maileg's House of Miniature, and it adds on to that house wherever you want it. That is a bigger scale than Maileg's mouse furniture, and the House of Miniature is home to bunnies, rabbits and the Teddy family rather than to mice. It ships empty. Every piece of furniture and every animal that goes in it is bought separately, which is the whole idea of an add on room.
