This is the house the whole Maileg mouse family has been waiting for. A narrow gabled tower at one end, a wider wing beside it under a shed roof cut with three small skylight slots, and six open compartments between them, all in natural plywood left to show its own grain. Maileg says it plainly: every farmhouse has its own wood pattern, so no two are the same, and the variation is the design rather than a flaw.

The rooms are cut to Mouse size, the scale the mouse family and every piece of mouse furniture shares, so a bed, a bathtub or a kitchen counter drops straight in and stands at the right height. At 63 cm (24.8 in) wide and 56.5 cm (22.24 in) tall it is a real piece of furniture in a bedroom rather than a thing that lives in a toy box.

Be clear on one thing before you order: the house comes without content. The beds, chairs, lamps, rugs and mice in the photographs are staging and every one of them is sold separately. That is the point of it. Fitting the rooms out one piece at a time is what turns a birthday into three years of birthdays. Two of the photographs also show a narrow tower with a rooftop terrace joined to the left side of the house. That is Maileg's mouse bonus room, a separate piece we do not carry, and this listing is the farmhouse on its own.
