Wise Owl Glaze in Copper Metallic is a warm burnished copper with real metallic pigment in it, the kind of color that looks like a penny caught in lamplight rather than a flat orange brown. Over a white like Isles Ave it wipes back to a soft rose gold wash; over the deep teal of Abyss it strikes bright against the dark. Wise Owl layers it with Metallic Bronze and Patina over stippled Chocolate to build their copper patina finish.

This is a water based glaze, not a paint. Wise Owl builds the line with flat or metallic pigments depending on the color, and it tints and shades whatever sits beneath it instead of covering it. That means it works two ways: over a painted piece that has been sealed, or straight onto bare wood for a gel stain finish. Available in a 2 oz sample and 8 oz.
