From K'lani, started in Utah by Monica and Katie after Monica's braided bracelet snapped beside the plain black hair tie on the same wrist.
Nine and a half months of samples later, this is the answer: a hair tie that reads as jewelry and holds hair like a hair tie. The name honors the Hawaiian roots both families share — Kaiulani means the highest point of Heaven.

A compass, stamped in gold tone and hung on a cream cord, is the point of this one. K'lani puts it at the center of the Explore set to say the obvious thing out loud: keep going. The other four ties are the colors you would pack for the trip, a sage green braid, a coral cord with a slim gold tone bar, one beaded multi strand piece in dusty pink threaded with small gold tone cubes, and a gray braid.
Five pieces, and every one of them is a working hair elastic. That is what K'lani is actually selling here: they ride up your wrist all day reading as stacked bracelets, and the moment your hair needs tying back you already have five of them on you. Nothing digs in, nothing gets left in a coat pocket.
Medium fits wrists 5 to 6.4 inches around, the size of a normal hair elastic. Wear the five together for the whole earthy run up the wrist, or break the set up and let the compass travel on its own.
