The Italian kale that gourmands argue about and children will actually eat, once somebody tells them it is called Dinosaur Kale. The leaves are long, dark green and so deeply savoyed they look prehistoric, and the flavor and texture are in a different class from curly kale, especially after the first frost has been through the bed. It is frost tolerant and happy in part shade, so it earns its space long after the tender crops are finished. Sow in spring or again for fall, direct or as transplants. Sixty days, and a minimum of three hundred seeds.
Open pollinated, untreated and GMO free seed, hand packed by Sow True Seed in Asheville, North Carolina.
