Christmas tea, laid for two. A deep green teapot with a gold knob, a gold handle and a gold tipped spout, two red cups with gold rims on two matching red saucers, and one small brown fluted cake with red berries on top, sitting on its own green scalloped plate.

The pot, cups and saucers are enameled metal, so the gold catches light the way it should, and the cake is molded in polyresin with the crust and the fluting cut into it. At Mouse size the cups are small enough for a mouse to lift, which is the difference between a decoration and a toy.

It all packs into a kraft tin striped in fine red with a red Maileg cartouche and a deep green lid. Maileg calls the colorway Red/Green. The tin is the gift, in the sense that it is what somebody unwraps and what everything lives in afterward.
