Wise Owl Glaze in Black Walnut is a warm, dark walnut brown that ages a piece beautifully in a single pass. Brushed over painted furniture, it settles into every carved line and moulding profile and wipes back to a soft, antique patina — gentle shading over crisp whites, rich depth over color. And because it behaves like a stain, it's just as happy on raw wood, where it brings out the grain like a classic walnut wood stain.

This is a translucent glaze — it shades and warms what's beneath it rather than covering it. Apply it after your final coat of paint has dried completely and been sealed with one coat of Wise Owl Varnish or One Hour Enamel Clear (One Hour Enamel paints have the topcoat built in, so glaze straight over them).
