Wise Owl Glaze in Champagne Gold is a pale warm gold carrying real metallic pigment, closer to old gilding than to bright brass. Wiped into carved detail it leaves the gleam of age in the low spots while the raised surface stays clean. Over a white like Isles Ave it reads as soft antique gilt; over the deep teal of Abyss it lights the edges the way brushed brass does.
This is a water based glaze, not a paint. Wise Owl builds the line with flat or metallic pigments depending on the color, and it tints and shades whatever sits beneath it instead of covering it. That means it works two ways: over a painted piece that has been sealed, or straight onto bare wood for a gel stain finish. Wise Owl's own painters have blended it with Chameleon and Black glaze over a Black Cherry base. Available in a 2 oz sample and 8 oz.
