Most magnetic tile sets build things that stay put. This one comes with a wheeled base, so the castle turns into a truck and drives off, which is a different game entirely and usually the one that lasts longest.
PicassoTiles lists 63 pieces: 21 triangles, 12 squares, 14 right triangles, 6 isosceles triangles, 1 large square, 8 half squares and 1 car truck base. The tiles carry the diamond texture of the PicassoTiles Diamond Series, which catches light differently from the plain classic panes, and the range of shapes is wide enough to spell letters and numbers flat on the table before anything is stood up. PicassoTiles publishes the individual tile sizes for this set: the large square is 5.51 inches, the standard squares 2.91 inches, the triangles 2.76 inches, and the car base runs 6.38 inches long.
The set works on its own and clips onto any other PicassoTiles collection. PicassoTiles states the tiles are BPA free and non toxic with smooth edges, and grades the set for ages 3 and up.
