Over a hundred truck stickers, and every one of them is named on the sheet. The sticker pages read like a spotter’s guide: forklift truck, flatbed truck, curtainsider, box truck, semi truck and semi-trailer, a 3-car transporter and a 9-car transporter, then a whole mountain set of snowmobile, snow plow, salt truck, log loader truck, logging truck, ski slope truck, a jeep on snow tires and a semi truck running snow chains.

The scenes are where they go. At the factory is a sweep of access roads curling away from a plant, with car transporters loading up and forklift trucks moving boxes, and it stays half empty until a child works out that the 9-car transporter belongs on the long straight and the forklift belongs beside the crates. Usborne’s own description adds a busy building site, a bustling town, a highway and snowy mountains, so there is somewhere for every truck on the sheets.

This is the larger First Sticker Book trim, about 8.6 by 10.9 inches, so the scenes have room and small hands are not fighting for space. Eight full pages of stickers in a 32 page book. Reading the truck names aloud while placing them is the part that quietly does the work: the vocabulary arrives in the middle of the fun instead of as a lesson.
