Orange peel and cinnamon, ginger and clove, a little grated nutmeg: Holiday Season smells like the kitchen on the day the baking starts. Plant Therapy layers seven oils into it, sweet orange, lemon and tangerine on top with cinnamon bark, ginger root, clove bud and nutmeg underneath, for a warm, spicy citrus blend that says December the minute the diffuser comes on.
Two or three drops in 100 mL of water is all it asks, or set it out for passive diffusion near the tree. It also makes homemade gifts smell like the season: stir it into wax melts or a bowl of potpourri for teachers, neighbors and hosts. The 10 mL bottle is undiluted and 100 percent pure, with a deep green label and red berries that look right at home on the mantel. For skin, the maker caps it at 2 percent in a carrier oil, and it is not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
