Nothing reads fresh quite the way peppermint does. Mentha x piperita grown in India, distilled and bottled undiluted, with the cooling menthol lift that makes it the oil people reach for at three in the afternoon.
Three to four drops per 100 mL of water is Plant Therapy's diffusion rate. The maker also suggests a few drops in a carrier oil added to a warm bath, or stirred into unscented lotion for a massage or a pedicure. Topical use is capped at 5 percent in a carrier, and the bottle carries one caution worth reading before you buy: do not apply it to or near the face of infants or young children. It carries the maker's Pregnancy Safe and Pup and Pony Safe designations, and keeps four to five years.
