Cardamom belongs in far more coffee than it gets, and this is the syrup that fixes that. Portland Syrups brews it from whole green cardamom pods and decorticated cardamom seed for depth, with a hint of whole black pepper so it never turns cloying. The result is aromatic, warming and faintly citrusy.

Stir half an ounce into espresso and steamed oat milk for a Scandinavian cafe latte at home, add it to cold brew with cream for an iced cardamom latte, or drop a little into black coffee.
