The book is deliberately small, sized to drop into a bag, which is the whole design brief for the Little First Stickers series. It comes out at the restaurant, in the waiting room, on the train, and it holds attention through exactly the stretches where nothing else does.

The text is short and made to be read aloud while the sticking happens, which quietly builds vocabulary in the middle of an activity nobody has told the child is educational. For a dog obsessed three year old, this is the seven dollar item that gets asked for by name.
