The face is worked on both sides. One side carries a round open eye and the mouse is awake; the other carries a closed eye stitched in a curve and the mouse is asleep. A child decides which, turns the mouse over, and the story starts again. He is a Baby mouse in Maileg's family sizing, 3.94 in tall, so everything made for a baby mouse fits him. Maileg sells him as Sleepy wakey baby mouse in matchbox - Blue, item number 17-5001-00, made in China. Maileg calls this colorway Blue; the suit itself reads a soft sage green with cream dots. The Maileg grading on him is 3 and over, which puts him out of reach of a child under 3.
