Fourteen interchangeable parts, five machines. The same chassis becomes a crane, then a dump truck, then a ladder truck, then an excavator, then a backhoe, and taking one apart to build the next is the whole toy rather than a chore before the toy starts.
PicassoTiles lists 50 pieces: 32 construction-themed magnetic tiles, 2 character action figures, 2 car bases and 14 interchangeable pieces for the five vehicle builds. The figures have omnidirectional arms and legs, so a driver can actually sit in the cab and reach the controls, and the tiles print as brick, hoarding and site fencing rather than plain colour, so the site the machines work on looks like a site. PicassoTiles publishes the piece sizes on this set, with the standard tiles at 2.8 inches and the car bases at 7.76 inches long.
The set is marked building brick and tile compatible on the box, and joins onto other PicassoTiles collections. PicassoTiles states it is BPA free and non toxic and grades it for ages 3 and up.
